Hi doctor my son is now 2 months and 1week. He had not pooped from Wednesday. It's almost 4th day. As my nibhour suggestion I was puting some baby soap to his pooping area to make him poop. For every 3days. He had this problem from last 3weeks. But now am afraid to do this as this may lead to some other problem. He is exclusively breast feed baby. Please suggest any advice. Am massaging his tummy and aslo doing cycling exercise. But no result.when I need to worry and when do need to consult doc

The number of motions is not important for babies for 1 st 4 months of age. Some babies pass stools 10-12 times a day,some after 3-4 days,BOTH are normal,as long as the motions are soft and formed. Do not apply anything to the analysis area. If she's feeding well,is active,passing urine normally,and doesn't have abdominal distension,relax.
