Ipill side effects & possible pregnancy

2026-07-07 06:52:30
My sister's first date of her last period was 22nd June. She had unprotected intercourse with her boyfriend on 3rd July and took ipill the next morning within 10 hours of the unprotected intercourse. Then subsequent intercourses were done with protection, though the very next day (after 30-36 hours of taking ipill), she had another unprotected intercourse (most of the ejaculation was outside but doubtful that some of it might have been gone inside). It's been 45 hours since then. Should she go for another I-pill or the previous one would suffice? As she noticed light spotting also. Please suggest the best course of action now, she doesn't want to get pregnant and neither want to have severe side effects of ipill. Kindly suggest accordingly.

Irrespective of the number of emergency contraceptive pills your sister takes she   needs to be educated the fact that prevention is before the act  never after so even after consumption of the pill the patient can be pregnant also the pills are known to cause irregular vaginal bleeding and delayed period
