I have been diagnosed with PCOS last year, I was experiencing spotting in between periods after the evaluation I have been diagnosed with pcos.(Ultra sound report attached) I have done all other test to evaluate pcos including thyroid, insulin, Prolactin, Testosterone, etc all those are normal. After taking medication for 3 months my issues got solved and bleeding between periods stopped completely, from last 8-9 months my periods were regular without any complications. But last month I got my periods 5 days late and now on 13th day of periods I am getting very light blood spotting mixed with vaginal mucus, this occurs exactly 2 days before my ovulation day. Please guide is it common to get intermenstrual bleeding for women with PCOS.

Spotting at the time of ovulation can occur in few women which could be normal. But consult your gynaecologist and undergo one clinical examination with pap test. If possible repeat ultrasound. Follow life style modification too.

Hi Spotting around ovulation time is seen in few women. But if you are sexually active, Please go for clinical examination and a repeat ultrasound would be of use to rule out polyp
