I want to ask if official insulin diluent for regular insulin like huminsulin r and actrapid are available in india from the manufacturer. Im asking for small children with type 1 diabetes that needs micro doses of insulin. And pump therapy is too costly.

At present, manufacturers such as Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk do not market official insulin diluents for human insulin vials or cartridges in India. These diluents are available in select countries for clinical or hospital use, but are not commonly supplied for outpatient pediatric use here. Because of this, accurate micro-dosing for small children usually requires diluted insulin prepared in specialized centers under strict medical supervision. For now, low-dose insulin pens or diluted regimens prepared under an endocrinologist's guidance are safer alternatives until pump therapy becomes feasible. Do not attempt dilution with saline or any unapproved fluid, as it can alter insulin stability. For clarity and proper management, an online consultation will help.
