I have had an ingrown toenail for over 6 months now on both by big toes . I try to trim it but often make the edged sharp setting it up for future inflammation. It is really painful and looks ugly . i feel I need to get it looked at by a professional but my mother insists on healing it with home remedies. How do i cure this problem once and for all. Are there any creams or ointments I could use ?
