Hi People who stop alcohol they may land in a state of confusion called delirium in which patient will have perceptual abnormalities like auditory & visual hallucinations which we usually see in schizophrenic s, it doesn't mean they are all schizophrenic s, once  detoxification done, usually these symptoms subside. Alcoholic s do have psychosis out of malnutrition (deficiency of thiamine). It all depends on the physical condition of patient.
Next Steps
so plz visit a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation & further management.

Hello Alcohol can have an effect on schizophrenia. Please stop having alcohol because in any case, one is not supposed to mix alcohol and schizophrenia medicines. Please visit a psychiatrist regularly for the treatment.
