Hi. A gap between does pose a cosmetic issue for patients. It can be easily fixed by one of 3 methods
1) Braces- orthodontic treatment moves the teeth together to close the gap. Adv - nothing artificial placed on the teeth in the long run. Disadv- takes time. Approx a year.
2) Direct veneers- tooth coloured material is filled esthetically into the gaps to make it look like the teeth have moved. Adv- quick to do. Reasonable cost, minimal cutting/ preparation of the tooth. Disadv- requires proper maintenance, may not be permanent
3) Indirect veneers- ceramic partial caps are bonded to the tooth to close the gaps. Adv- excellent natural appearance, more permanent option than direct veneers, less maintenance reqd. Disadv- more costly than direct veneers. More tooth preparation reqd.
