Hi there, Can HSV 1+2 IgG antibody test show false positive for results for any other virus from herpes groups? I tested positive for HSV 1+2 IgG with index value 30 and tested negative for HSV 1+2 IgM. I don't have any oral and genital sores, but a few red bumps on my hand and chest which appear and go away in one day, I am also feeling neck and back pain. Is this Herpes simplex or any other herpes virus? Should I go for confirmatory test? If yes please suggest a test name.
