Wht is the dosage and which company ashwagandha we can use..can we buy Himalaya or any such brands pills or it's better to purchase powdered form . Wht are the side effects and how many days one should use and whn to discontinue.

There are no side effects of Ashwagandha.You can Stop it any time.
Take 2 tablespoons (approximately 4gm) with Luke warm milk.
But as you described the symptoms of your family member is not cure by only Ashwagandha.It needs proper management and treatment for best & positive results.

Hello Ma'am,U can give Ashvagandha (Withenia somnifera) powdered form 1 tsf( DABUR etc any reputed pharma) approximately 6 gms with milk or water /Tab/Cap Himalaya drug company 1 bid in empty stomach for minimum 6 months ,it is tonic so can consume for indefinite period without side effects
