How do I handle myself

2023-09-05 08:33:35
I lost my self confidence. People blame me for everything. I just don't know if I'm the one making mistakes every time. I'm tired of getting lectures from everyone. Whatever I say people try to pick out mistakes there. I'm not happy. I hate who I'm right now. There is no respect for my words. Everyone targets me . It's been 3 years since I've been working from home. I'm comfortable at home, I don't like people around me. I'm afraid of conflicts. I have a boyfriend, he is very good.. but I think I depended on him. That leads us to fight. I don't want to be depended. I want to be happy.. what do I need to do?  Please this mindset not allowing me to mingle with anyone.. no one is happy around me. No one likes me. They always sees me as problematic person, but I'm not. I was happy before not now, is it because I started listening to everyone?

I would suggest you to take a note of things that you are good at and things that you need to improve. If conflict is the reason for you to not been able to mingle, then try to look out for like-minded individuals. To know a like-minded individual try to observe the thoughts, behaviours and actions

Sorry to hear about your feelings! It's completely understandable to have such moments when self-confidence feels low. Building self-confidence is a gradual process and you can take one step at a time. Start by talking to a counselling psychologist who can assist you with techniques and exercises that can help you regain your sense of self-worth and self-assurance. Just like your preference for working from home which is a safe space for you, a good counsellor will provide you a safe space to share your feelings. Take Care!

Hi.. If it is primarily work related, I believe you are a part of toxic team/organisation culture. If that is the case, no amount of behavioral change or performance is going to improve your condition. Look out for a better company, better profile is necessary. If you think it is precipitating as an outcome of your overall mental health. Taking professional help will be effective. If you think that you are otherwise doing everything right and the environment you are in is supportive but only you are unable to adjust. Then please look out for your tone and manners. They matter a lot in a work setting. Being overly polite or joyful is not required. But interacting with your colleagues and stakeholders in a decent and polite manner is very important. Meeting your achievable targets and managing the time line of those that you couldn't meet is important. A healthy work culture requires people to meet their commitment and cooperate on the tasks that are somewhat difficult or unachievable. Never be afraid of the blame, rather work upon doing what you can as a team. That is the only thing leadership requires, when they have employed people and giving them salaries. Do look out if your company/project is running out of customers or not making any money, because no organization can afford a non performing portfolio for a very long period of time.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. Interpersonal Guidance and Career Counselling is required.

I can make out from what you have written here that you are in need of professional help. You seem to be in a condition that you are unable to handle yourself as an individual. A long 'work from home' situation (which you say you like) could be one of the contributing factors in your case. But that may not be the single cause that is keeping you under anxiety or maybe even under depression. The solution is most likely to come from realigning your life with the available realities surrounding you. For that the way you view the world around you has to change. That kind of an awareness and the consequent changes will have to come into you under the guidance of a mental health professional. With this I suggest you to consult a psychologist.
Next Steps
Please consult a psychologist. .
