High temperature to my daughter

My daughter 20 months old is having fever from yesterday and it is going till 103.6 soon after giving meftal p syrup it will come down. Again with in 4 hours her fever will hikes to 102/103. A doctor near by prescribed urine routine for her which is normal. Why it is happening is this something I need to worry immediately.? Or current medication is fine? Thanks

Baby has fever because she is fighting an infection or illness.Having raised body temperature helps her lmmune system to fight the infection. Fever  commanly can be due to RTI,VIRAL,BACTERIAL,TONSILLITIS,UTI,MOSQUITOES BORN during this season.
Health Tips
Slmply give PARACETAMOL SYP according to weight of the child. In the mean time

Since she has high spiking fever, you have to get complete blood test too.
Next Steps
Continue the same medications and if fever doesn’t settle down or if she is not active meet paediatrician again.

If she is dull and not taking feeds then better to get blood testing done... If she is active and feeding well with no other symptoms then u can continue the current medication

It could be viral infection. But i need further details. Give paracetamol for fever as per weight.
