High sugar after meal

Hi. My mother aged 61 years recently started getting high sugar levels when measured 2 hours after meal. When tracked for almost a week, Fasting sugar comes between 110-125 but 2 hours post meal comes between 170-250. I am quite concerned and would like to understand this. Many thanks.

Usually sugar levels increases after food, but range more than 180 is a matter of concern. Please get Hba1c to confirm diagnosis of diabetes.
