High hb count

2023-05-22 05:44:55
I donated blood at a hospital, during the regular procedural check before blood collection ,I was told my hb level is 17.5. I had few glasses of water 30 mins prior to the collection and also had breakfast 20 mins before, had 7 hours of sleep and had pale yellow urine discharge early morning. Have never smoked or taken alcohol, never have to been to high altitude places. Should I trust the hospital and take a cbc test to be sure? what should my next steps be?
