High cholestrol

I recently did a lipid profile and my total cholesterol came out to be 268 and LDL is 179 and HDL is 45, first of all how do I lower these levels and what should i change in my lifestyle and diet and will it affect my health, heart in particular in any ways.

No need to panic. Try to be vegetarian, stop smoking, stop alcohol, stop pizza/burger/samosa etc, do exercise for 45 minutes daily(mostly aerobic like running, jogging, walking etc), be on time for your food 8 am breakfast/Lunch 1 pm/dinner at 8 pm. After 3 months, repeat your lipid profile and let me know the result.
