Mother has sever pain in left leg knee and 3 opinion from doctors negate knee injury or worn out. She had mild attack 12 yrs back and had recovered quickly. Tried pain killers and injection but pain is not subsiding. She is unable to walk of her own. Kindly suggest what should I do next. Shall I take her to a neurosurgeon or orthopedic doctor. She has a controlled BP and diabetics

Just nee3 to release ber fww muscles of knee ..including vastus lateralis ,obliques,rectus femoris ,TFL with IT band ..followed by knee alignment through hip aankle and foot alignment manual techniques which only a sports /ortho physiotherapist can apply  .

Hi... I suppose the pain could be due to some muscle problem.. weakness and inflammation of certain muscle or a bursa around knee could lead to similar symptoms... Take her to a good Physio..he should be able to fix it.. I also recommend her to meet a orthopaedic for evaluation and medications...if already seen..then fix up an appointment with Physio for pain management and rehabilitation... For now icing can be done frequently.... Hope this is helpful for you... Kindly share with me the details of investigation taken..in case you need more detailed insights and clarification..
