On an X-ray, if open growth plates are present then there is chance to grow. When growth plates are closed (fused), and cartilage has fully hardened into bone,Which means no growth can happen. Also If your measured height has not increased over a continuous 1 to 2 year period, it is a strong indicator that your growth plates are closed. Your father's height can give rough idea of how tall you can grow
