My uncle just had a heart attack and we are in a different country then him, I just wanna know how long before someone survived a heart attack? Like he had a heart attack since 6 hours and he is in intensive care, does that mean it's not life threatening anymore? Thank you in advance

It depends on the clinical scenario and the treatment received and the heart function compromised. If he has a minor heart attack and got revascularized immediately with a good heart function then risk is low. If it's a major heart attack with low heart EF , heart failure and delay in revascularization, the risk is high. Overall in any heart attack, maximum risk of mortality is within first 48-72 hours
