Headaches during pregnancy

My wife is in pregnancy period with 12 weeks now. She will be facing severe headache ( one side sometimes)...Is there any medicines to treat this ?? What pain killers she can take if its safe during pregnancy...usually she tries to bear the pain ...but some times its out of control...so looking forward for suggestions and any prescribed medicines to over come headaches which are safe during pregnancy.
