Hb count during pregnancy

My wife is pregnant of 30 week and her hb count is 7.1.After doctor consultation we get to know to inject hamfer to raise the hb count. But how much unit is to be injected to maintain good hb count near 10 without affecting baby. Also how much hb count increase with one shot of hamfer injection.
