If it is only back pain you have with no pain down the back of th8ghs or buttocks, then this is most likely muscular in origin. Avoid sitting for too long, keep mobile, take painkillers regularly, use hot fomentation for your back which will help with the muscle spasm. Try to stay mobile and take rest breaks. Do not take bed rest. If you start getting an pains down back of thigh or buttocks then you may need an MRI scan.
