Having fever since last Sunday

Today is 7th day and still getting fever @99.3 , has been the same for last 2 days. Not taking any mdedicine as advised by doctor. Do not have any cough or running nose , only fever and headache which may be unrelated. Is it normal to have fever after 7 days, will it go away on its own ?
