Having fever continually.
My child had fever two weeks ago, went for a consultation, doctor advised with antibiotic and paracetamol. After a course of five days my baby was okay. Again from last three days she started having fever. Went for a check up yesterday, doctor advised with paracetamol but fever is not getting reduced in last 12 hours. I'm worried for this. Do I need to keep my baby in hospital observation.
Hospitalization is required if child is very dull and not eating at all.
If not accompanied by any other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness,just give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
If not improving OR accompanied by above symptoms,reconsult your paediatrician.
