Doctor says tooth is decayin and the adjoining one is also being affected.he suggest extraction of third molar. Is it safe.

Yes ..is safe. If the third molar is carious and the adjacent one is also ..then it would be vice to get the third molar extracted.
Next Steps
visit  a nearby dentist  and take and x-ray and confirm the carious part.
