There are many reasons why wrist pain can exist 6 months post an accident
- It can be a subluxation in the radio-ulnar joint ( can be treated with some manual therapy)
- Ligament strain
- Faulty Biomechanics.
These are some of the major reasons. Now you are having pain because the underlying mechanical cause has not been corrected. Its causing your muscles to overstrain and get tired faster and cramp. Whenever there is an injury, there is always inflammation and swelling (may not be visible), this in turn increases the pain due compression, its a vicious cycle.
So primarily you need to reduce the inflammation and swelling and then work on the biomechanical correction. No matter how many pills or ointment you apply, unless the mechanical correction is made you will keep having this pain.
I suggest you go see a physio ASAP.
Take care.
