Hair loss for more than 7 months

I'm 31 years old. Have severe hair fall for 7 months now. Maybe heavy periods for a year has a role to play. Currently taking b12 injections and iron supplements. Have lost more than half of the hair volume, even scalp is visible on the top now. Would supplements be enough, is there anything else I can do? Will it grow back?
