Gum area pain and Root Canal alternative
My face's bottom right outer gumline is paining constantly. I went to dentist and it was suggested to go for RCT. Wanted to check if there is any alternative to this option? Strange thing is the pain is not increased when the tooth were knocked by dentist for pain check. But the constant drag pain is there in the gum region.

If there is gum swelling there is more chances of gum infection. But as you said your dentist suggested from root canal treatment of the associated tooth it could be that the infection from the tooth spreaded to the gums. Anyhow do according to the advice of your dentist as only he / she will be able to physically treat the problem.
