Gout with right ankle pain

2025-09-05 19:35:10
My husband is foody. Non alcoholic (not even occasionally), completely non- smoker. Recently he had a sprained ankle after a false stepping (he thought so) but doctor(ortho) suspected it as gout & his uric acid level tested & it came 8.84 and creatinine 0.77 He has prescribed meds for 2 months now & dietary restrictions. Is gout curable in homeopathy? Is it a risk disease? Can it be cured with food habit changes?

Yes, gout can be managed very well with homeopathy. It is not only about pain relief but also about controlling the tendency to high uric acid and preventing future attacks. It is indeed a risk disease if left untreated, as repeated attacks can damage joints. Along with dietary changes, individualized homeopathic treatment can help in long-term control and reduce chances of recurrence. A detailed consultation is needed to select the right remedy for your husband.

Gout is a form of arthritis caused by high uric acid levels in the blood. When uric acid crystallises in the joints, it leads to pain, swelling, and stiffness. An elevated uric acid level of 8.84 mg/dL confirms the possibility of gout, especially with sudden ankle pain. The kidney function (creatinine 0.77) is normal, which is a good sign.
Next Steps

Health Tips
Drink at least 2.5–3 litres of water daily to flush out uric acid. Limit high-purine foods: red meat, organ meats, seafood (prawns, mackerel, sardines). Cut down on paneer, heavy dals (urad, rajma, chana) and avoid mushrooms & spinach if uric acid is rising.
