Hi Firstly you need to get your uric acid levels checked to determine if it is the cause of your pain. Secondly you need to undertake lifestyle modifications such as Low Protien diet, Alochol and Smoking cessation etc. Thirdly you should not self medicate for treatment of Gouty Arthritis.
Next Steps
Get S.Uric Acid levels checked and visit a nearby Orthopedic specialist for further treatment.
Health Tips
Ice packs application over the swollen area will help with the pain
