I don't see any reason why you cant make it smoothly . If you have raised sugar only during the pregnancy , you have to understand that it is mainly the post meal glucose which results in glucose spikes in your blood . As there is direct connection between you and your baby, the increase glucose levels in your system enters in to the blood stream of the developing baby. As the baby has no problems with insulin production, all this excess sugar will get stored in the body , causing big baby . To prevent this, follow simple steps do check your sugar levels at different times of the day The more number of time you can check it, the more better it will be for you. Yes it means more finger pricking . Do remember a saying " no pain no gain". If you want a healthy baby , you need to check sugar levels atleast 3-4 times a day , but unless at least you realize how to keep your sugar under control. These 4 tests include fasting which should not be more than 100-110 and 1 hour post meal. It should never be more than 140 Mg/dl. Hope it helps, for more information , please consult with me directly.
