This is just your OCD doubt, not a real rabies risk.
Rabies spreads only through direct contact with the saliva or bite of an infected animal, not through objects like a matchbox or ground contact. Even if dogs had been around that area, the virus cannot survive long outside a living host it dies quickly in air and sunlight.
Your mind, due to OCD, is magnifying a harmless event into a danger signal. This is a contamination obsession, and the urge to keep checking or seeking reassurance is part of the compulsion loop.
Take a deep breath, remind yourself:

Then, gently shift your focus to another task. Don’t give the thought power by analyzing it further.
