3 L a day is enough. Drinking excess water can cause edema or homeostasis imbalance.
But also it will depend on your activity pattern. Even then you should cut down atleast by a Liter.
I drink 3-4 litres of water. It's v hot in my city . Is 4 Litres of water toooo much ? I feel thirsty
