Gap between crown and gumline
I recently had a 6-unit zerconia bridge cemented (3 days ago).I have noticed a gap/open margin, where the crown meets the gumline on one of the supporting teeth in posterior side and I can gently insert edge of my fingernail into the space. I have had the margin verbally confirmed as a gap by experienced dentist. The placing dentist is resisting the replacement of the bridge, suggesting that nothing will happen. I already lost my front teeth and I'm worried about long term health of remaining teeth.
My questions to the dental community are:
What is the accepted standard of care regarding marginal fit for a permanent prosthesis like this? What are the confirmed long-term risks (decay, gum disease) of leaving a visible open margin on an abutment tooth? What is the definitive, ethical solution recommended for a bridge with this type of technical defect immediately after permanent cementation?

Marginal gaps in prosthesis id not advisable whether permanent or temporary. It is huge that your nail can get struck in between the marginal gap then in future it will definetey lead to poor gum health, recession, food lodgement, secondary caries on remaining tooth margins and much more.
It is in best of your oral health that you need to get it replaced with a good fit prosthesis to provide long life to the bridge and your teeth as well.
Untill then keep flossing, brushing properly and using i terdental brush to clean the marginal gap to avoid food lodgement in the area.

If it's a gap enough for your finger nail to get stuck there, it needs to be changed as there are chances of food lodgement, especially since it's your posterior teeth and a long bridge.
The marginal fit needs to be as close to perfect as possible since there are chances of food lodgement, decay, gum issues, and bridge failure.
Replacement of the bridge would be the best solution for your problem.
