You need to see a general surgeon who will evaluate you clinically to decide if surgery is necessary or not. In case of asymptomatic gallstones one need not proceed for surgery immediately. However wall thickening suggests that you have had inflammation due to stones. Please note thateven silent gallstones may lead to complications like acute inflammation, slippage of stone in bile duct, pancreatitis etc.
