Gall stones

2025-09-04 15:45:16
My husband has gone for normal health check up and he was diagnosed with "Multiple mobile calculi 5-8 mm. No biliary dilatation". He was told it's Gall stones but he doesn't have any symptoms. If he didn't go for health check, we wouldn't have got to know that. I am very worried. Is it something very serious?

Ensure he stops taking calcium medications if he taking. Introduce more ghee, HDl rich lipids . And do certain form of yoga to increase bike secretion/ remove blockage as currently there is no need of laproscopic surgery. If done properly for months things will become better avoiding future need of surgery as well.

Hello mam The size of gall stones mentioned is very small to create any symptoms . Until these stones enter into biliary tract and cause the blockage of the same very less likely to develop any symptoms . So please take a surgeons opinion on the same and get your gall bladder removed . Because stones are reoccuring situation so that is the only permanent solution. Till then u can have some dietry lifestyle changes Please take diet less in cholestrol and fatt Thank you hope it helped you

Gall stones are usually silent until one gets stuck in the CBD , then it will cause a lot of problem not only pain but also jaundice and sometimes even Pancreatitis. It is advisable to get a cholecystectomy done as a planned procedure than in an emergency

Asymptomatic gallstones (those discovered without pain or related symptoms) rarely progress to serious problems. Annual risk of developing symptoms or complications is around 1–4% per year. Most patients (over 70–80%) with such stones may never develop symptoms throughout life.
