A gallbladder polyp is a growth or lesion that develops on the mucosa (inner lining) of the gallbladder. Most polyps are benign and do not cause any symptoms or health issues. There is a small risk that a gallbladder polyp could be cancerous, so it's important to monitor them.
Some of the signs and symptoms that are worrying are fastly growing polyp, multiple polyps and causing symptoms, such as pain, jaundice.
