Fungus or dandruff develop on scalp

For the past few months, there's some kind of fungus or dandruff develop on my hair. I don't know whether it's a dandruff because I am feeling little pain and sometimes itching. I never had dandruff and this thing happens when I put one of my helmet and I had stopped using that helmet as well. Nowadays I am not travelling anywhere due to the corona virus, I have been staying at home and in the past whenever I don't use the same helmet, it was fine. But this time, it hasn't gone away and this fungus thing is hurting my scalp and it makes my hand to touch it frequently and scratch it. So please suggest me the proper medication to stop this fungus to develop on my scalp.

Dandruff Follow these practices to keep your scalp clean and healthy- 1. wash hair every alternate day- from root to tip. 2. Use a hair oil 1 hour before shampoo. 3. Dont rub your hair vigorously, gently pat dry.  4. use a conditioner if hair are frizzy.  If Your dandruff stays even after these practices, consult a dermatologist. The doctor will check if its normal dandruff or seborrhoeic dermatitis or psoriasis of scalp and accordingly you will be prescribed the medication required.
