Hi, Phimosis is the inability of the prepuce (foreskin) to be retracted behind the glans penis in uncircumcised males. Circumcision is a safe surgical procedure that is well tolerated in nearly all patients.  Phimosis does not recur after proper circumcision. If too much penile skin is left, a repeat circumcision may be necessary for medical or cosmetic reasons.
