For infections in vagina

My friend is suffering from some vaginal infection diagnosed by gynecologist after doing finger insertion test. Gynecologist recommend her SYNODERMA CREAM and FENTIN CAPSULE 600 mg to insert in vagina but she is having some burning issue with pain during inserting it and her period get over today only is it safe to use the above mentioned medicine.
