Fluctuating BP

My BP fluctuates during the day. I'm a heart patient and I'm on medications. As I go to bed at about 10 pm, my BP measures 120/70 to 135/75. After fairly good night's sleep my BP shoots up to 175/90 or around that range. As I get on to regular activities like walking (I walk around 6 to 8 kms a day), the readings fluctuates between 150/80 to 120/60. So far I have been working with my cardiologist, yet I have these variations. What do I do / should I consult a good General Physician?
