Bp phobia and ocd
Hy i am Santanu.suffer a lot from health anxiety. I have done ECG and Echocardiogram twice, and no problems have been detected. I have seen many doctors, and they referred me to a psychiatrist. I am currently getting better and have completely stopped taking medicines for now. But one problem still remains — and that is BP phobia. I feel scared when I see BP machines. At home, I check my BP many times. The systolic fluctuates between 120, 122, 127, 130, 138, and the lower value (diastolic) stays around 75–85.all day, from morning to night, I keep measuring my BP. Even when I go out, I carry a BP apparatus in my bag, fearing that my BP might suddenly go high. Sometimes, when I check once and feel satisfied, I don’t think about it for several days. But then after many days, I feel like measuring again — and if the reading comes even slightly abnormal, my anxiety starts all over again. Now I want to know — how can I return to normal from this condition?  Please help me.
