What is the age of the patient.  Is he/she diabetic.  If it is associated with difficulty in seeing then need to see an ophthalmologist urgently. If not,and if no diabetes then can probably  wait.  If the floaters number increase or associated with flashes or curtain fall like view then urgent consultation required.

Usually floaters are nonpathological. Your information is incomplete The only thing I can suggest you to consult a retina specialist for dilated fundus examination.

GENERALLY NOTHING TO WORRY AS IN 98-99% PEOPLE THIS MAY BE AN EXAGERATED NORMAL PHYSIOLOGICAL AGING PROCESS OF THE INSIDE OF BACK PORTION OF YOUR EYE WHICH IS KNOWN AS VITREOUS CONDENSATION. BUT IN 1-2% IT CAN BE BECAUSE OF SOME RETINAL PROBLEM FOR WHICH A BASELINE FULL DILATED PERIPHERAL RETINAL EXAMINATION AT LEAST ONCE IS A MUST
