Fistula in ano
I have fistula in ano , and 2 days back I have done MRI which shows my track is partially healed and also there are new abcesses forming
But since yesterday I have pain near my thighs junction...is that means it's moving towards thighs ?? But MRI is not captured anything such...

No ,this small abscess can’t move to thigh , and MRI shows no inflammation/abscess in Ischiorectal fossa ,check for redness /swelling etc there may be other swelling like boil etc in thigh . for fistula , you can take antibiotics course after consulting your doctor or me .Usually fistula does not heal and need treatment ,.upload previous MRI

Hello, I reviewed the MRI report. It describes a simple inter-sphincteric perianal fistula. The report suggests the previous fistula tract is showing signs of partial healing (no clear fluid signal at the internal opening), but there are small residual/recurrent inter-sphincteric abscesses (around 4–7 mm) mentioned.
Pain near the thigh/groin junction does not necessarily mean the infection is spreading toward the thigh. MRI has not shown extension into the thigh or ischioanal region. The pain could be due to local inflammation, referred pain, or early abscess-related irritation.
We surgeons usually confirms the situation by clinical examination and sometimes proctoscopy/EUA if needed along with MRI findings.
Next Steps
You should be reviewed by a colorectal surgeon/general surgeon because a fistula with new abscess formation may need treatment (sometimes drainage or fistula procedure depending on examination findings).
