Fever not decreasing with amikacin

Fever for last 25 days which comes and reaches upto 101F and then decreases to normal. I am on amikacin inj 500mg im daily for last 7 days. Still today fever reached upto 100F. Blood and urine analysis was done 15 days ago and all parameters were normal. What can be the possible cause.

Hello there, Amikacin is an anti bacterial, might be you are taking wrong treatment, if you don't have bacterial Infection then it won't help you to decrease fever. As your blood and urine reports are normal as you said. Please share your reports so that proper Medication should be prescribed and consult online.
