Head is proportionally larger in small children. It receives more blood supply hence usually head is much warmer than other parts. When child gets fever head is the first part to show high temperature due to the same reason mentioned above. This is normal. If you feel his/her hands and legs cold while body is warm, go to hospital immediately, it could be a dangerous problem.

This is common in children as they tend to loose heat more from their head surface.

This the way fever comes no issue medicine is fine will take time to resolve

Dear parents, In kid initially sweat glands are distributed only in head, so heat is dissipated only from head &so head remain hot than other body parts, sweating during sleep &breastfeeding is only from head.
