Fever and vomiting

My 6 yr son is having fever around 100 -101.. it goes down with crocin syrup for 2 hours and again his temp starts rising ..can I give meftal p syrup after 3 hours of crocin ...he had stomache and vomiting yesterday...i consulted doctor and also giving him antibiotics...his pulse rate is also around 130 ...is it ok?

Fever can increase pulse rate. If you are staying in dengue prone area avoid giving meftal p.

Pulse rate increases during fever so that is expected. Meftal P can be given 3 hours after crocin. But if dengue is suspected, then give crocin only because Meftal P decreases platelet count. Keep daily and sos follow up with you Pediatrician

hello,yes  u can give meftal p after 3 hours of crocin. increased pulse rate is due to fever. kindly consul in detail for further opinion
