Fever and cold

My son had cold and fever around 102F since last week Tuesday evening...we gave him paracetamol syrup 5 ml for every 4 hours but temprature didn't go down below 100 then we consulted a pediatrician on last Thursday and he gave him meftalp and levocetrizin and amoxycillin and potassium clavulanate antibiotic...I gave him meftalp two doses and fever was reduced and gave him antibiotic for 3 days...since from Sunday evening he is not given any medication...and no symptoms of cold and fever also till today afternoon...but frm today evening again he is having fever around 101.5 F in armpit...I also have given his blood samples for CRP and CBp today...what could be the reason for his fever .

Fever is due to infection. If the child has no other symptoms except fever , likely it is a systemic infection. Needs further evaluation including dengue, malaria, urine infection, viral fever etc. The medicine the child has already taken is symptomatic and that's why fever is coming back in absence of symptomatic treatment. Initial antibiotic is only empirical and to be modified as per further reports.
Next Steps
follow up with your paediatrician at regular interval until the diagnosis is made.
