I had a root canal treatment in Dec 2017. It hasn't gone well. My tooth is still alive and the filling has got corroded. It hurts and I can't open my mouth completely. What's the corrective action?

Good morning Sir, Since you had undergone RCT in December and cap was not placed immediately, the filling might got dislodged and got re infected. If you have pain it is advisable to visit your dentist and get it examined to get a clear picture about your condition and get a re-RCT done if possible. If the tooth is in a bad condition it would probably have to be extracted. KEEP SMILING ...GUD DAY.

Get an X-ray done. If it is the same tooth it may be reinfected. If it can be restored you can opt for retreatment and capping.
Health Tips
Reduction in mouth opening indicates infection. You will require antibiotics and painkillers
