Hi this extra tooth u r talking about must be a permanent tooth erupting out of occlusion ..visit ur dentist ..it wil be decided over there only which tooth needed to be extracted..best of luck take care

Hello, since he is 7years old it might be a permanent tooth which usually grow at an age of 6 7 years. So dnt be in hurry for any decision. And if permanent tooth has erupted and an extra tooth is present, then also you have wait till age of 13 atleast, because Extraction of that teeth at this age may harm permanent tooth which will complete its formation with roots at age of around 10 11 years.
