Ear blockage

My ear often gets blocked because of the wax and I have to them get it cleaned by a doctor. Due to the current coronavirus situation, I am little sceptical when it comes to visiting an ent. My ear got blocked last night again. Is there some way to apply soliwax or ichtammol glycerin b.p.c. and clean it at home? The bloackage is a little better than before.

If you have the tendency of wax accumulation inside your ear canal then it is better get it removed by nearby ENT surgeon. Till then you can continue putting soliwax ear drop 3 to 4 times a day so that the wax soften. If it is not much some of it it will come out on its own.

Ear canal is 2.4 cm long and cleaning it thoroughly is not possible at home. Attempts that are not experienced in ear cleaning have reports of ear drum rupture and even more intense pain. You should visit the doctor and tell them to do ear cleaning in the operating room by paying some extra amount.

As mine is a full fledged diagnostic center, I have been practicing throughout this Covid season. Please protect yourself with kn95 mask, face shield and disposable gloves and come down to my center. I will clean out your ears and put you out of your misery.
