Dry Socket

2021-01-02 17:52:46
I had impacted wisdom tooth extraction on 28 dec, 2020. I'm not able to open my mouth completely it hurts little bit and experience severe pain near chin area in the morning. I called my doc he advised me not to rinse my mouth with salt water. Is it a sign of dry socket? Is piece of wisdom tooth remained under gums tissue? I've attached OPG report.

It seems like part of your root is still inside the socket .. Dnt worry Take a chymoral forte as analgesic and a amoxiclav as antibiotic ... Visit a renowned maxillofacial surgeon ...

If the opg was taken after the extraction,  the roots are still in your mouth. You need to see an oral maxillofacial surgeon at the earliest and get them removed . You maybe prescribed muscle relaxants along with pain killer to help mouth opening and pain

Looks like the wisdom tooth is not completely removed. This situation of not able to open mouth is called trismus. You need to consult a maxillofacial surgeon to get the remaining tooth structure removed ASAP.
Next Steps
Consult a maxillofacial surgeon ASAP
Health Tips
Apply ice pack from outside
